Meet The Queens
Diana Kelly Miss Gainesville
Diana Kelly is the 22-year-old daughter of Drs. Thomas and Jacqueline Kelly and sister to John, Monica, and Tommy Kelly. Diana is a graduate student at the University of Florida pursuing a master’s degree in Architectural and Interior Design. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 2008. Diana was a Top 15 semi-finalist at the 2008 Miss Florida Pageant, where she also received the Miracle Maker Award for raising over $5,000 for Children’s Miracle Network. Her platform is Music Breaks Barriers. She is a founding member of S.O.N.G., an organization dedicated to sharing the joys of music with those in the Gainesville community. Diana has served as the event coordinator for the University of Florida’s, Savita Charity. She is a proud member of the Panhellenic community and has served as a Panhellenic Counselor. Diana has served on her sororities Program Council and on their Executive Board.
Diana has a passion for traveling around the world and learning about other cultures. She also loves volunteering and bringing music into the lives of the elderly and the underprivileged of Gainesville. She has been playing the piano for seventeen years and has received numerous awards at the state level for her performance. Diana enjoys scrap booking, sailing, singing, and playing the piano.

Katie Crews is a 22 year old senior at the University of Florida majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Religion. She is the daughter of a Sally D. Crews and Bryan W. Crews and was born and raised in Orlando, FL. Katie has also spent much time in Kansas City, KS where she lived for the majority of her junior high and high school years. This past July, Katie was a Top 10 Finalist at the 2008 Miss Florida Pageant, where she received the Preliminary and Overall Interview Awards. Katie also received the overall talent award for her vocal presentation at the Miss Alachua County pageant in 2008. She is a proud sister of Chi Omega Sorority and serves as her sorority’s Historian. This past spring, Katie was named “Most Outstanding Leader” at UF’s Young Leadership Conference. Through this experience, Katie discovered her love of mentoring others and founded her platform, P.R.I.D.E. – Providing Resources to Inspire and Develop Excellence, a student-run program focused on mentorship of high school students’ in the hopes of increasing graduation rates.
Katie has been involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida for many years. In her spare time, Katie loves the water and spending time at her lake house wakeboarding, skiing, tubing, and boating with family and friends. She has always had a passion for the arts and enjoys music of all kinds, including Broadway musicals, opera, oil painting, and the study of art history. Katie is an accomplished singer and loves to entertain audiences.
Meet The Sunshine Princesses

Allison Bush Allison Bush is 6 years old and in the 1st grade. She studies gymnastics and jazz. Allison also enjoys cheerleading & playing with her 2 sisters and brother. Her ambition is to one day become a famous dancer 
Jenna CrewsJenna Crews is 10 years old and in the 4th grade. She enjoys competitive cheerleading, hunter-jumper riding, and ballroom dancing. She especially loves spending time with her brother and sisters. 
Daniela UrdanetaDaniela Urdaneta is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. She studies Irish dance and piano. She loves spending time with her puppy, Luna. 
Allison Potapow Allison Potapow is 6 years old and in kindergarten. She studies ballet, tap, and piano. She loves Hello Kitty 
Lynley Potapow Lynley Potapow is 9 years old and in the 4th grade. She studies ballet and jazz dance and takes violin and piano lessons. She enjoys drawing and loves Hannah Montana. She also loves dogs. 
Brooke RaulersonBrooke is nine years old and enjoys meeting people, making friends, gardening, shopping, singing, dancing and school where she is an honor roll student. Her greatest love besides her family, of course is the love she has for all animals, and that is what made her decide to be a veterinarian when she grows up. 
Julia JuergensmeyerJulia is 6 years old and is a first grader at Inverness Primary School. She lives in Inverness with her parents and three older brothers. Her hobbies are dance, gymnastics, competing in pageants and cheerleading.
All 7 of our Sunshine Princesses enjoyed a very special Pajama Pizza Party at the Miss Florida pageant. Katie and Diana made matching pj's for our VIP's (very important princesses!)
